Co van Kessel supports local schools along the bicycle route
January 9, 2015
Co van Kessel Bangkok Tours prides itself in showing the fascinating but real, everyday life in Bangkok. The bicycle tours pass through homes, schools, markets, alleys and more. All of this is part of the local community who welcome the cyclists daily with open arms, high-fives, and big smiles. The tours often stop at different schools to visit with the kids and provide a refreshing break from their studies. Often the groups of cyclists are as much of an attraction for the school children as the other way around. Wildly enthusiastic children love to practice their English with the foreign visitors. A “hello sir” or “where are you from?” are often followed by an innocent and shy smile. Games of football, handball, volleyball or takraw are often played between and amongst the children and the visitors. All of this is made possible by the relationship of mutual respect that Co van Kessel has developed with the local communities over the years.
Co van Kessel Bangkok Tours visited three schools along the bicycle tour route on the morning of January 8, 2015 to show them support in honor of the upcoming Children’s Day in Thailand. Special donations were made this day, including pens, books, and other school supplies. A small financial donation was also presented to the headmaster of each school as a token CVK’s continued support for the youth of our local communities.
Co van Kessel Bangkok Tours thanks these schools for their friendship and wishes the school and their children a very happy Children’s day!
