This 3-hour bicycle tour will show you the REAL Bangkok that casual visitors rarely see. By bike, we will explore Chinatown’s narrow alleyways, markets, and backstreets as well as the charming local areas of Thonburi, nowadays referred to as the 'living part of Bangkok'.
Starting in the heart of Chinatown, our bike ride explores its frenetic market environment. Winding through narrow alleyways, our senses come alive with the sights, sounds, and smells of a community in motion. We’ll pass by shophouses selling everything from Buddhist amulets to recycled truck engines. Locals worshiping at hidden temples, ritual paper burnings, and the omnipresent spirit house display evidence of a culture centuries in the making.
Crossing the Chao Phraya River with majestic views of the city skyline behind us, we visit Thonburi, the historic third capital of Thailand. Contrasting chaotic Chinatown, peaceful elements of local Thai life abound as we cycle through diverse residential communities. Inquisitive smiles and friendly greetings reinforce the feeling we have truly left the “beaten path” and are now experiencing the REAL Bangkok.

All of our tours start and end at our office at River City Bangkok on the edge of Chinatown (see ‘’Our Location’’ in the menu for directions)
What to expect
We pride ourselves in being an alternative to the standard tourist experience by taking our customers "off the beaten path" to show them the REAL Bangkok, away from Bangkok’s typical mass tourism attractions. We go behind the scenes into the local communities to places that are typically inaccessible to the average traveler, where our individual fascinations emerge.
On our tours we do NOT cycle on main road with traffic and are hence as safe as it gets. Following our concept we go off the beaten path, use back roads, alleyways and footpaths (nearly 95% of the tour takes place here). Helmets are also readily available at our office if you wish to wear one.
Fitness & cycling skills
We cycle at a leisurely pace and make frequent stops at interesting destinations along the way. Children as young as five years and seniors as old as 80 years have joined our tour with no issues. That being said, we do cycle through narrow alleyways and upon raised footpaths over water, so a certain level of balance and comfort on a bike is required.
We accept all international payment methods (PayPal, Credit Card, iDeal, Sofort etc) on our website. For cash payments at our office please select ‘’booking inquiry only’’ on the booking form. Cancelations up to 24 hours before departing time receive a 100% refund.
