Khlong Saen Saeb

Looking at the map of Bangkok there’s a small canal flowing through the city going from east to west; the Saen Saeb.  The boats serving the small canal do a great job helping mostly commuters beating traffic on Bangkok’s roads. It connects the old town on the west to the new town on the east side of Bangkok with multiple stops in between.

The hop on hop off service of the Khlong Saen Saeb doesn’t serve the most famous attractions of Bangkok but does include some of them such as the Golden, Bo Bae market, James Thompson house and shopping malls Siam Paragon and MBK.

However just going through those old, narrow canals alone gives a unique view on how locals life along the Khlong Saen Saeb. Hopping on and off the Khlong Saen Saeb cost 200 THB per person for a day-pass.
